“All animals are equal, but some animals are more equal than others.”

I couldn't believe my eyes when I finished this masterpiece of a dystopian satire. The ending sent shivers down my spine. I was surprised at the relevance of this satire in today's time. Scary.

“The only good human being is a dead one.”

This book opens with a speech by Old Major, an old boar who encourages a rebellion and driving off the humans from the world. His dreams are clear: animals comrades shouldn't be humanlike.

He dies a few days later, and the rebellion successfully happens. Everyone is happy under the rule encouragement of three clever pigs: Snowball, Napoleon, and Squealer. And now, Manor Farm is Animal Farm. They follow the Seven Commandments of Animalism:

Whatever goes upon two legs is an enemy.
Whatever goes upon four legs, or has wings, is a friend.
No animal shall wear clothes.
No animal shall sleep in a bed.
No animal shall drink alcohol.
No animal shall kill any other animal.
All animals are equal.

And now things happen. How animals drive off the humans, and then other animals. Being a person who doesn't understand the head or tail of politics, this book gave me an amazing insight into the real antics.

The so-called leaders-Napoleon, Squealer, and Snowball, that is- manipulate the other animals as to doing things with the threat that Jones, the former farmer would come back. While also ruling out their memories of the time before, with Jones, so they don't realize that this is worse. The pigs are cunning, and the animals too gullible.

“Surely, comrades, you don't want Jones back?”

Even though this book comes nowhere near the horror genre, I was literally fearing it. So many political aspects are covered in this book! Here:
→ Driving off other leaders that might ruin your chance.
→ Manipulating others as to the "dark times" will come back, if they don't listen.
→ Being worse than the leaders in the past proves evil, and getting away with it.

“The creatures outside looked from pig to man, and from man to pig, and from pig to man again; but already it was impossible to say which was which.”

Read this if you don't know how the world is doing today.
